The Memphis Area Disc Golf Club and Memphis Athletic Ministries (MAM) are inviting all disc golf enthusiasts to participate in the grand opening of the new MAM Park Disc Golf Course at 2146 Ball Road Saturday, July 11.
Registration is from 8 am – 9:15 am, players meeting at 9:15, with the first round beginning at 10 am.
• The first 90 persons to sign up will play the 18-hole disc golf championship course; however if more than 90 enthusiasts want to play, those who sign up after the championship course is full will play the 9-hole short course (twice around) also at 10 am.
• When the 10 am rounds are complete, there will be closest to the pin, distance and putting contests while all participants enjoy free hotdogs and soft drinks.
• Once the contests are completed, the groups will switch courses for their second round.
Trophies will be awarded to the winners of the five divisions: open, advanced, intermediate, recreational and women. Other prizes will be awarded to winners of the special events.
There is no charge for participation. Donations to Memphis Athletic Ministries are welcomed and encouraged.

The MAM Park Golf Course is open to the general public free of charge Monday – Saturday from 8 am to 8 pm during the summer months.
