MEMPHIS, Tenn. (localmemphis.com) – In uptown Memphis Wednesday, dozens of people came together to paint a mural on the basketball court of Memphis Athletic Ministries. Volunteers from St. Jude, Clean Memphis, and MAM’s staff and youth worked with the city of Memphis and the Shelby County Community Redevelopment Center to make this happen.

The goal was to renovate and clean up the Greenlaw Center. “It’s exciting to see folks pulling together, all of us pulling together in making sure we’re investing in our neighborhood,” said Andrew Murray with the Shelby County Community Redevelopment Center.

This was the first in a series of activities to redevelop several communities across the county over the next 14 years.
