Grants go to 24 groups

The Community Foundation of Greater Memphis awarded nearly $330,000 in grants to 24 nonprofit agencies Friday.

Most of the grants were given through the Nonprofit Capacity Building program, which earmarks funds for internal improvements like new technology. The receiving organizations are required to match the funds they were awarded.

The grants went to agencies ranging from Memphis Athletic Ministries, WKNO-TV, Porter Leath and the National Civil Rights Museum.
