Mid-South golf calendar
Sept 7-10: Patriot golf days at the Memphis Athletic Ministries Park Golf Course (located in the old Army Depot off Ball Road), according to Vince Alfonso Jr., PGA Director/Golf for MAM. By making at least a minimum donation of $10 to the Folds of Honor Foundation participants will play nine holes with 100 percent of the money going to the foundation, which provides post-secondary education scholarships for children and spouses of killed or disabled people while serving active duty. MAM is seeking prizes from area companies for the event. Participants may get their own group together. No tee times are necessary – come anytime between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Every one who plays will be asked to drop their scorecard into a box and a drawing will be held at 3 p.m. on Sept. 10 at the MAM Park Golf Course Clubhouse. You do not have to be present to win. Prizes will be awarded to the player that scores the lowest nine-hole score over the four days.
