The University of Memphis NAACP loves to tutor our youth at MAM – Bethel LaBelle.

Every day our under-served youth wake to a reality of neglect, drugs, poverty, hunger, violence and a sense of hopelessness. By God’s grace, hope, love, potential and joy abound in our 11 neighborhood centers. We desire for men and women of this great city to join us in developing the 900 youth we serve daily, so they will indeed have a promising future.

We welcome all individuals and groups. No matter what level of commitment, you will make an impact. With your help, Memphis, we can collectively answer the call to “incline your ear to do justice to the fatherless and the oppressed” as written in Psalm 10.

For more information on volunteering, check out the Get Involved section of our website. You can also join us for a volunteer orientation session. They are offered twice a month and take place at the Grizzlies Center located at 2107 Ball Road.
